BROUGHTON GIFFORD BOWLS CLUB is a small friendly club in the village setting of
Broughton Gifford,
approximately 1½ miles from Melksham and close to Holt, Corsham, Trowbridge and other small villages.
The bowls green is situated behind the Bell Public House near the common.
The club was formed in 1961 and the green was built by both past and present members of the club and in 1976 members
of the bowls club helped to build the clubhouse.

We have both men and lady members who actively participate in county games, league, and mixed and friendly
matches both around the Melksham area and as far away as Malmesbury, Swindon, Warminster, Frome and Bath.
The men also have a tea and biscuits league, which is very popular.
Then once the game is finished one can enjoy a friendly drink with other bowlers in the Bell public house
before returning home.

We hold our AGM in November and an open day at the start of the season to welcome new members and anybody
interested in coming along to try out the game of bowls.
Our fees are men £40 and ladies £35 for the season.
We have coaches within the club who would be willing to show new members the techniques of bowling.
